Welcome to my fun creative work! My wifey Gina Yashere and I had a blast doing daily Corona Diaries from the beginning of the pandemic. We discovered that especially people n isolation really found solace in our humor. So wonderful to create a positive outlet for folks fearing an apocalypse! I acted for 15 years as a young person and always used theater as a tool: with incarcerated youth for the 14 years I worked in and outside of jails writing plays about their own experience to change the conditions of confinement; and since my students as an experiential learning tool. In the past two years I dove back into my own acting career and have been enjoyed taking courses. I was in a film about a Lieutenant during 911. I also took intensive pilot writing courses and have three pilots brewing- one is the fictionalized version of my book and upcoming documentary. Another is about adventures at the dog park and the inanity of humanity through our bizarro fixation on anthropomorphizing our pets, especially when they are our only children. The third is about the multi-culti, poly amorous lesbian community in Brooklyn n the early aughts when it was a fun filled, dynamic counter cultural mecca. I was immersed. These are our stories.
